Sorry for the lack of posts lately but it just means I'm busier than a 1 armed coat hanger or a hooker at shore leave (which ever one is busier)...This cnn article below reminded me of the other big utility issue coming for the industry WATER. Costs will only go up from here and most people's sewer bills are double what the water bills are due to treatment costs (or just general Governmental run-ups to meet all the municipal short-falls). We can all see those costs continuing to creep up.
Will technology continue to help in the goal to use less & less water for clothing? Picture above of
The Xeros Waterless Washing Machine
Most commercial machinery today uses a surprisingly small amount of water compared with residential machinery. I remember when I first saw our new 60 Pounders and how surprised I was to see the water barely came to the bottom lip of the window. Less water consumption is great but nothing compared to beads or steam machines. The washer/dryer all in one machines are becoming more prevalent now as well. It will be interesting to see where machinery goes in the coming years. Less utility usage is good all the way around and lessened or eliminated Gas and/or Water bills in the future wouldn't be bad for the bottomline. In the meantime keep pushing ancillary revenue streams on top of your core business$$$.Water: The most undervalued resource http://shar.es/mcRP5
